Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship

Round 7: Croft, 6 November

Andy Scott snatched victory from new champion Julian Godfrey in the season finale at Croft.

Scott qualified on pole for the A final but lost out at the start to Godfrey, who led until Scott regained the advantage on the last lap. “I think he was a little nervous, but I had much more speed than him on the gravel and when he saw me coming there he went a bit wide in the last corner and I got him,” said Scott.

The result means that Scott wins a four-way battle for second place in the final championship standings. Third overall goes to David Binks, who also passed Godfrey on the final tour.
