Young, talented racers set sights on SUPERSTARS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2012 contest‏

Bratt, Kouzkin, Mancinelli, Rocca, Jordà, Neri, Gilardoni, Tineo Arroyo, Iaquinta, Rigosi, Voix are just some of the young drivers in talks with the teams of SUPERSTARS for a ride in 2012. As they look forward to the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2012 contest, dedicated to 8, under-24 drivers making their debut in the 2012 SUPERSTARS SERIES, they hope to repeat the successful rookie season enjoyed by Alberto Cerqui and win a fully-funded European season in AutoGP.

The roster of drivers interested in taking part to the upcoming season is sensational and includes British racer Will Bratt, who won the PartyPoker Euroseries 3000 in 2009 and Daniel Mancinelli, the 2009 Formula Renault 2.0 Italia champion. Kevin Gilardoni and Niccolò Rocca, who entered the 2011 Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS and Simone Iaquinta, from the Italian Formula 3 Championship are also on the list. In addition to them stand Salvador Tineo Arroyo (from Mini Challenge), Matteo Rigosi and Italian-Russian Alessandro Kouzkin.

Some top-notch female talent is also looking to follow in the footsteps of Michela Cerruti, who scored a win and a second-place finish in 2011. Spain's Carmen Jordà, coming from Indy Lights and Carmen Voix are eager to make their way into the series as well as Alessandra Neri. The Italian racer, coming from the INTERNATIONAL GTSPRINT SERIES, is aiming at a place in the top touring car competition.

The run for a ride just started and while some of these young prospects are still planning to take some testing time and get in touch with the V8 saloons racers of SUPERSTARS, others have already hit the track to get some first-hand feedback.

Some of the potential entries for the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2012 contest will be on-stage to catch their first glimpse of SUPERSTARS during the 2011 Awards ceremony, set for December 4. The FG GROUP-promoted championship will be awarding this season's champions in the frame of the upcoming Motor Show of Bologna, supported by longtime media partner Autosprint. The Italian magazine will offer their stand to fans and drivers for the occasion.
