SCUNTHORPE have carried out several improvements to their stadium and track ahead of the new Premier League campaign.Scorpions owner Rob Godfrey has overseen refurbishment of the bar and café as well as the building of a new office and track shop, plus important work on the circuit itself. He said: “The big improvement on-track is the new drain on turn one, which goes underground and allows the water to soak away.“We’ve repeatedly been having problems with drainage on turn one because over the years the shape of the track has altered and the banking has got higher, so this should eliminate that problem forever.”
