Trident Racing hits the top in day one of GP3 test at Estoril

The GP3 Series was back running today at the Portuguese venue of Estoril for the championship's first test of the season, and at the end of Day 1 it was Trident Racing to prevail with Nico Mueller. It's been a great result which came at the end of work scheduled ahead this week's outing and an huge reward for the commitment and professionalism of the team's technical staff.

In the first of the two days of testing scheduled at Estoril, the team also fielded Antonio Spavone and Vicky Piria. Both of them were at their first time with the Renault-powered GP3 Series Dallara and they did a flawless job in making a first contact with the car before being back on-track tomorrow.

“It's been a really positive day because we improved together. In the first laps the car's handling wasn't really fitting  with my driving style. So I dealt with the team's engineers and from that moment on every little modification we made proved like a step in making the car's handling better. We found the right track to follow and we improved until we got on top of the timesheets. I want to thank all the team's technicians for having helped me in tailoring the car around my style, ad I hope to have rewarded them enough with the best time of the day".
