Goff commits to Porsche Carrera Cup GB

Will Goff is the latest driver to confirm plans to contest the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this season as he steps up from the GT Trophy and Britcar series. Backing for the programme comes from Goff Petroleum.Goff (26) will contest the Pro-Am2 category in a 911 GT3 Cup car entered by a small family-based team under the Will Goff Racing banner. The Dereham-based racer has drawn in several experienced team members, including former Le Mans racer Mike Youles, to support his debut season in the Carrera Cup.Goff started racing in 2007 in a Lotus Exige and graduated to an Aston Martin GT4 for 2008 and 2009, winning 11 of the 12 races he started in ’09. For the last two seasons he has raced a 997-model 911 GT3 Cup car in a mix of GT Trophy and Britcar events."I wanted to commit to a full championship,” said Goff of his move into the Carrera Cup GB. I'm being very realistic, but I'd like to be up there by mid-season. Tuesday’s test day at Silverstone was my first proper run with the car.
