This weekend Ricardo Tormo will see the start of the Italian Formula 3 European Series and the Italo-Canadian Nicholas Lafiti will begin the challenge in the world of Formula racing.

Valencia will be the first of 8 events the championship and the first held outside of Italy in the Italian Championship, together with Hungary (Hungaroring) and Austria (Red Bull Ring).

In winter testing the young driver went to several tracks in Europe gaining a good feeling with team BVM-Target, and FTP with the Dallara -  but the differences between a kart and a car are considerable, both in the running of the race in the development

In addition to the staff at team BVM-Target, Latifi can rely on the experience of Minardi Management, manager Giovanni Minardi will closely follow the progress of the young driver

NICHOLAS LATIFI: “I'm really looking forward to the first race of the season in Valencia.  It will be my first race in an F3 car so I'm just going to keep an open mind going in with no expectations, but I really want to experience. I've driven the Valencia circuit a few times and have grown a liking to it.  It's a very technical track and should make for some good racing. The only other challenge I am anticipating is when I actually have to "race" in the car.  In a kart I am used to practically being right on my competitors bumper through turns, and with cars, especially cars with downforce, it is very difficult to do this“
