The British Supersport Championship will be title-sponsored by car supermarket Motopoint in 2012. The company has signed a deal to back the primary support series to the British Superbike Championship with promoter MotorSport Vision.

David Shelton, Motorpoint's managing director said: “We have been involved with the MCE British Superbike Championship since 2009, so we are thrilled to continue our long-standing support as title sponsors of the British Supersport Championship, which offers a fantastic platform for the sport’s up and coming riders to launch their careers."

Although a support series, the Supersport series has significant exposure through British Eurosport's blanket live coverage of each Superbike race day. The opening round of the new season takes place at Brands Hatch on Easter weekend.
