Performance Car Owners And Car Clubs Rev Up At Castle Combe

Castle Combe Circuit roared back into action over Easter with the first 2012 race meeting and now looks forward to the end of this month with the first of the 2012 Action Days on Saturday 28th April looking like breaking all records.

Castle Combe Action Days offer a unique blend of club and trade displays and all out track action. The race day paddock area and surrounding car parks become a giant outdoor exhibition showcasing club displays covering just about every performance car manufacturer. For car clubs it's a great opportunity to show off their cars and meet like-minded enthusiasts.

But what makes Castle Combe Action Days so special is for just £35.00 plus admission charges, enthusiasts can take their car around the demanding 1.85-mile international circuit and follow in the tyre tracks of many Formula One World Champions.

Safety is of course paramount and before venturing on to the circuit drivers attend a compulsory briefing to ensure maximum safety. No overtaking at the principal corners also helps to promote fast and orderly driving.

With less than three weeks to go, the event is heading for a sell-out, with over 100 clubs displaying 1,600 cars. If they were to line up on the circuit bumper to bumper they would stretch around the circuit twice. But you don't need to be a club member to book track time and a special car parking area for track users is also available.

For spectators, the event represents great value with admission costing just £12.00 per adult with accompanied children under 16 admitted free and with track action from 09.00 right through to 17.00, a lunch time display from some of the region's top drifters, plus the trade stands and a chance to wander the car display areas there really is something to appeal to all motoring enthusiasts. There is also an opportunity to experience the track and help Bristol Childrens Hospital Appeal. Bristol based FCM are offering passenger rides in their performance saloons, with all the money raised donated to this great cause.

To book any of the remaining track time then an early decision is advised, contact the Circuit Office on 01249 782417 or email maria@castlecombecircuit.co.uk.
