Isaac Tutumlu joins Förch Racing in the Supercup

Isaac Tutumlu joins Förch Racing in the Supercup, after leaving the World Touring Car Championship. Tutumlu will make his debut at Montmeló.

Tutumlu, a Spanish driver with Kurdish heritage, and Neuenstadt-based team reached an agreement to compete together in European Porsche series. “We were in talks with ATTEMPTO Racing but didn´t reach an agreement. I am going to drive for Förch Racing, an obvious choice because, while they are debutants in Porsche Supercup, their  background is very good in German Porsche Carrera Cup ,working with drivers such as René Rast”, Tutumlu explained.

His debut in the series during 2012 campaign is  scheduled for this weekend at Circuit de Catalunya. “I am looking forward to my comeback. It is great to have another chance to compete at the highest level and, in addition, starting at my home round.

"Once again, I am grateful to Barzani family and Kurdistan and I will try my best to give them good results”, the 26 years-old driver added, saying that “it won´t be easy, because there are very good drivers contesting the Porsche Supercup. And with only a free practice session, we need to be competitive from then on. Anyway I feel confident because Förch Racing will help me and have two fast and well-experienced teammates: Stefan Rosina and Robert Lukas”.
