JMW Motorsport Confirm Le Mans Line-up

James Walker, Jonny Cocker and Roger Wills to drive the JMW Motorsport Ferrari 458 at Le Mans

JMW Motorsport is pleased to announce their 2012 Le Mans driver line-up with Roger Wills (NZ) joining the team's regular ELMS drivers James Walker (GBR) and Jonny Cocker (GBR).

Having won the opening round of the European Le Mans Series, the team are confident they can be at the forefront of a very competitive LM GTE Pro class.

This year's race will mark Jonny's third entry into Le Mans. "It's a great experience", said Jonny. "It's the race every sportscar driver dreams of winning. It'll be good to put my experience into practice again in 2012. It is an exciting time".

That excitement is sure to be keen for James making his Le Mans debut.

"Ever since I started racing I've wanted to race in the Le Mans 24 Hours," said James. "Since switching to the Le Mans Series last season it has become one of my main targets. Being selected to race in this year's event is such a special moment for me. I can't thank team owner Jim McWhirter enough".

Roger is relishing the opportunity to return to Le Mans "Last year I was in a LM GTE Am car so running in LM GTE Pro in 2012 and having the benefit of two professional drivers in the car with me is something I am sure will help me greatly. Jonny and James have a massive amount of experience and I know they will support me a lot during the build-up week and, of course, the race. It is the world's biggest sportscar race and a huge honour to be joining such a great team for the event".

Team Principal Jim McWhirter is looking forward to the challenge ahead. "We are off to our fifth Le Mans and are delighted to welcome Roger into the Team. Roger will join James and Jonny both of whom are high in confidence after their performances at Paul Ricard.

"The car has been beautifully prepared in its new livery by Davey Nicholas and the Team. We are quietly confident of giving a good account of ourselves. Roll on!".

Of course the stunning new livery is courtesy of Egidijus Gužauskas from Lithuania who has won the 2012 Dunlop Art Car Competition. His striking design is sure to help JMW Motorsport standout from the crowd.

The team are now looking ahead to the important work to be carried out on Sunday June 3rd's Official Test Day ahead of the race which takes place on 16th-17th June.
