Leok 2nd in Belgian MX first round

Rockstar Energy Suzuki's Tanel Leok raced to second place overall at the opening round of the Belgian Motocross Championship in Mons at the weekend.

The Estonian World MX1 rider, who is currently recovering from a painful hamstring injury incurred at the Brazilian GP, had excellent starts and rode to second place in the three 25 minute plus two-lap races, giving him second position overall to Ken De Dycker (KTM)

Said Leok: "I'm happy with the result of the races; my starts were really good and I could find a good rhythm straight away. But Ken de Dycker was definitely stronger today. My leg still hurts quite a bit, but in the second and third heat this got better, so I hope it's not hindering me any more at the French GP next weekend."

Rockstar Energy Suzuki is currently unpacking the crates from the Brazilian GP and will now focus on getting ready for another two-week journey on the European mainland to the French and Portuguese GPs on the next two weekends.

Results: 1. Ken De Dycker (KTM) 1-1-1, 2. Tanel Leok (Rockstar Energy Suzuki) 2-2-2, 3. Davide Guarneri (KTM) 3-3-4, 4. Yentel Martens (Kawasaki) 4-9-3, 5. Manuel Priem (Yamaha) 5-5-5.
