June 2 and 3, the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve will be the scene of many activities in the context of the 7th meeting of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). One of them is delighting Tiago Monteiro. The mythical comic book character from the series bearing his name, Michel Vaillant, will make his debut in the WTCC thanks to Alain Menu's Chevrolet Cruze.

Michael Vaillant is a character that has been a part of comic book and auto racing history since the 1960s. He took up the greatest challenges through many adventures, and in particular has become the worldwide reference in Formula 1. Tiago Monteiro had a chance to measure up against him virtually during his career in F1. "It's very interesting and exciting. This will be the second time that I will be encountering Michel Vaillant. It's a character that all the drivers admire and whose stories are a slice of dreams and happiness," Tiago Monteiro declared. "It will be a very special and very different race for the fans!"

During the first Chinese Grand Prix in history, which gave the album "China Moon" its name, Tiago Monteiro had joined the cast of the Michel Vaillant comic. "It's curious to see the reflection of your image as a driver and to be the subject of a reference in a Jean Graton book is an honour. So this will be a huge pleasure to stage this fiction at Portimão" the SEAT SunRed driver explained.

Tiago Monterio will get a chance to meet Michel Vaillant's creator, Jean Graton. The author and artist of the famous comic will be at Portimão to be close to the emotion that the FIA WTCC gives off.
