Atech Reid GP race at Spa in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup

Atech Reid GP and Formula Renault Eurocup reach Spa Francorchamps, one of the most thrilling race circuits in the world, famed for changeable weather and flat out corners testing the nerve of any racing driver.

Ahead of today’s opening race Alessandro Latif, 16, London UK, has been working hard on the simulator and was able to put that training into practice on the 7km circuit during yesterday’s free practice sessions.

Alessandro said “it’s great to be here at this famous circuit, I can’t wait to get to the grid of the first race today, it’s been awesome going round the circuit and realising just why this is a circuit favoured by so many of the great racing drivers”

Anthony Reid, Team Principal Atech Reid GP said “Alessandro has made good consistent progress throughout the sessions, he’s been given some different conditions at times by the weather God’s and this is something that makes Spa such a challenging circuit for any driver. We’re looking forward to watching him in today’s first race of the weekend.”

This weekend sees 42 cars on the grid at this Renault World Series event which is a huge number and will make the first corner something of a challenge for some.
