Bostrom lifts his game at Road America

Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki's Ben Bostrom lifted his game and carded impressive fourth-placed finishes in both races at the weekend's 2012 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship at Road America in Elkhart Lake.

Bostrom started the weekend with a promising qualifying session in which he landed a front-row place on the grid. Unfortunately, heavy storms swept through and delayed and abbreviated Saturday AMA Pro National Guard Superbike race, but Bostrom gave it his all and raced his Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000 to a respectable fourth. Sunday dawned sunny and Bostrom again gave 100 per cent in the 13-lap Superbike race, again bringing home fourth. Bostrom's strong performance has moved him up a hefty four spots in the overall Championship points table.

Said Bostrom: "I just can't thank the Michael Jordan Motorsports crew enough for helping me continue to chip away at the leaders. They made my job awesome at Road America. Racing the Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000 this weekend was the most fun I've had on a bike in years."

In contrast, National Guard Jordan Suzuki team mate Roger Hayden had a rough time of it at Road America: In Saturday's race, he put in a strong effort but his bike suffered an electrical issue and he retired. On Sunday, he was penalised for jumping the start and wound up finishing 13th.

In the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship standings, Hayden sits in fourth place and Bostrom has moved up to seventh.

The Michael Jordan Motorsports team's next event of the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship is at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama on June 22 - 24th.
