Geddie out to prove a point in Porsche Carrera Cup

Glynn Geddie is only too aware his Porsche Carrera Cup glory bid is in danger of fizzling out.

The 22-year-old had started the season with his sights firmly on winning the competitive championship only to be plagued by a series of frustrating setbacks.

The reigning British GT champion heads into rounds nine and ten of the Carrera Cup at Croft determined to shine after a disappointing Oulton Park display.

“It’s been a tough start to life back in the Porsche Carrera Cup there’s no doubt about that,” said Geddie.

“After securing a podium finish at Thruxton before heading into Oulton Park I was in confident mood but everything that could have gone wrong seemed to at that meeting.

“Now I’ve just got to really clear my mind and convince myself my season starts now at Croft and try to make the most of the remaining rounds.

“I’m realistic enough to appreciate my hopes of winning the overall title are now very slim but still need to keep my spirits up and start producing on the track.

“I won’t give in - I’ll keep on fighting until the last race.”
