ARTCURIAL AUCTION (JULY 7) - 130 VEHICLES ON OFFER Perfect venue for a classic car auction, Le Mans Classic will welcome the Artcurial Motorcars specialists for the second consecutive edition. On Saturday July 7th Matthieu Lamoure’s team will auction 130 collector and competition cars, 70% of them without reserve prices, under Maître Hervé Poulain’s hammer. Among them, a dozen cars with impressive prize-lists won in legendary races. Four Ligiers: the JS2 which won the 1974 Tour de France and was classified 2nd in the 1975 Le Mans 24 Hours (estimated between 750 000 and 1 100 000 euros), the famous JS1, the F1 JS 11/15 with which Jacques Laffite imposed himself in the 1980 German GP and the JS 39B driven by Olivier Panis and Eric Bernard during the 1994 season.

Other highlight, three collections are presented: 40 prototypes of the Heuliez collection (without reserve prices), the Le Guézec (ex. Matra racing director) and Michel Pignard (French Mountain vice-champion with 11 Le Mans participations) collections.

The occasion to pay a tribute to Carroll Shelby with an authentic AC Cobra 427 of 1965 (estimated between 500 000 and 600 000 euros); one of the lots which will certainly find new owners. Among the auctions other stars, a rarissime Ferrari 275 GTC (winner of the Nürburgring 1000km in 1966), a Porsche 908 (victorious at Zeltweg), an Audi R10 TDI (the only one belonging to a private owner), and a 905 of 1991 (without reserve price) which counts three participations in the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Also on offer, two Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (Gullwing and Roadster), an Aston Martin DB6 Vantage, a Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 (victorious twice in the Le Mans 24 Hours), a Ferrari Daytona, a Peugeot 402 Darl’mat, and many others to delight enthusiasts.
