Knockhill Podium for Johnny Blackshaw

Accident Advice Solicitors supported rider Johnny Blackshaw riding for Smiths Triumph gained his first podium of the year this weekend at Knockhill, at round seven of the Metzeler National Superstock Championship. The youngster has been battling for a podium position all year and has been unlucky to miss out but he was looking strong all weekend at the small Scottish circuit.

It was an action packed race, which included two red flag situations; the first was caused from fluid split from a crashed riders bike, the race was restarted as a 10-lap sprint race this was also red flagged on lap seven after a rider crashed heavily. JB rode a solid race on the Smiths Triumphs and was sitting comfortably in third place and was hunting down the leading pair, with the second stoppage he was unable to bridge the gap.

Johnny - "I'm really pleased to finally be back on the podium it's been a long time coming we've had a bit of bad luck and also a few chances missed but we managed to pull it off here. I'm really pleased for all the Smiths Triumph team as they've worked so hard all year and it's nice to be able to repay them with a podium. I've felt good all weekend and just hope now this is the turn around that my season needed. I'd like to thank all at Smiths and also my personal sponsor Accident Advice Solicitors for their help so far this year."
