Double podium finish for Chevron Cars in the second round of the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship
Chevron Cars Limited crossed the line in fourth and sixth place overall (11 May), claiming two second in class finishes at Silverstone in the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship.
Both the Chevron GT3, driven by Jordan Witt and Marcus Clutton, and the Chevron GT4 piloted by former British Touring Car Championship star Anthony Reid and Ray Grimes, had a successful weekend, in challenging weather conditions.
The organisers were forced to start the three-hour endurance race under the safety car due to heavy rain and hailstones, making it a thorough test for competitors and manufacturers alike.
David Witt, owner of Chevron Cars Limited, commented: Its been an absolutely brilliant race meeting for usboth our cars performed superbly and never missed a beat during the whole three hours.
The Chevron GT3 is really coming into its own. We must thank Cosworth for their fantastic support this weekend and of course many thanks to the entire Chevron team.
Our drivers had atrocious weather conditions to contend with, they had everything out there including hailstones! Without any electronics aids, the GT3 and GT4 demonstrated impressive mechanical grip. We are now looking forward to the next Britcar race at Rockingham at the end of the month.
