Matthew Graham to drive for Strakka Racing Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup debut‏

BRDC F4 Winter Champion signs for Strakka’s FR2.0 debut at the Hungaroring next weekend

Strakka Racing enters its inaugural Eurocup weekend brimming with Formula Renault 2.0 (FR2.0) experience after confirming reigning BRDC F4 Winter Champion Matthew Graham will partner Jake Hughes in Hungary.

MSA Academy member and multiple karting champion Graham has agreed a one-off race deal for Strakka’s first foray in the FR2.0 category. "I'm very pleased to be racing with Strakka and being part of its first race in the Eurocup," says Graham. "They have a good reputation and first class engineers to get us on the pace.”

For Strakka Racing, driver experience of the category was crucial as it ramps up for a full season in Eurocup next year. “It’s great to have Matthew in the car this weekend,” says team principal Dan Walmsley. “With him and Jake, Strakka has attracted a strong line-up and both are out to prove something to the Eurocup regulars. It is early days for us in the category but they are both real racers and understand the cars, so mixing it with the championship front runners is the aim.”

Graham, 18, has completed two Eurocup race weekends this year before focussing his efforts on the NEC FR2.0 Cup. “I'm also really looking forward to racing at another Eurocup meeting,” adds Graham. “It is a massive buzz to race in front of so many people on a weekend and we'll all be looking to have a solid weekend.”

The Eurocup races will take place on the 13thand 14thSeptember at the Hungaroring. Strakka Racing’s FR3.5 squad will also be in action during the weekend.
