The end of the season may be upon us but there's still lots going on!

September really was a month of ACTION at Castle Combe Circuit with not one but TWO Action Days! Everything from top performance cars & drifters to Minis - Classic and New came through the gates taking part in displays, parades and track sessions much to the delight of the huge crowds that gathered on both of the days!Action Days may be over for 2014 but there's still plenty to give you your motor sport fix this month at the Circuit! Kicking off this weekend will be our ever popular Racing School driving experiences on Friday followed by a weekend of excellent racing with both the Grand Finals and the Autumn Classic.

Autumn Classic

Step back in time at Castle Combe Circuit's best ever Classic MeetingWhat could be the best meeting in its 64 year history will be a day to delight, when the Castle Combe circuit hosts its 3rd ‘Bristol Forklifts and Heritage Insurance Autumn Classic’ on Sunday October 5th.

You can look forward to 8 very special races, a plethora of rare & interesting historic display cars, celebrity guests & drivers, owner’s clubs and a period atmosphere! Amongst those due to attend is Corsham resident and Pink Floyd drummer, Nick Mason, who is showing off a number of cars from his amazing collection including his legendary Maserati 250F, once voted the “greatest racing car ever” by readers of Octane magazine.

Autumn Classic

 Making a long awaited return to Castle Combe after a 59 year absence are the 500cc Formula 3 cars, taking part in the Bristol Aeroplane Company Motor Sports Club Challenge Trophy race.

There will be some superb demonstrations throughout the day including Julian Bronson’s very rare front engined Scarab Grand Prix car, a 1905 ‘World Land Speed record’ Fiat (complete with 16.5 litre engine!) and the largest collection of Bristol cars ever gathered together!

A number of local companies are supporting the event, including ‘Cotswold Classic Car Restoration’ from Cirencester, which not only sponsors the Aston Martin race but is transforming some of the buildings at the circuit into a period village petrol station, complete with pumps!

Qualifying from 08.30, Parades from 12.noon and Racing from 12.45

One of the great joys of the day is being able to wander around the paddock and unlike many other events, there is no extra charge for doing so. Admission prices are £15 for Adults and £10.00 for those over 65, with accompanied children under 17 admitted free.

 Audi Driver International Track Day Saturday 11th October

Now in its 12th year, Audi Driver International provides a great day out for all Audi owners and enthusiasts. Look forward to fast-lapping sessions on the circuit, demo drives and parade laps. In the paddock find trade stands and exhibits, a Show ’n’ Shine and Concours, club line-ups, displays, a technical forum (Q&A session), car sales and autojumble area.Audi UK will also be in attendance with a major display of the latest models, as well as examples from its historic collection, and there will be a prize draw to win passenger rides around the circuit in an R8, RS 6 and a TT RS, with an expert driver at the wheel. As well as the opportunity for enthusiasts to drive their road cars on the track, many of the specialist tuning companies will offer fast-lap passenger rides in their demo cars. The gates are open to the public from 8.30 am to 5 pm and admission costs just £10 per adult (children free of charge).

 Bristol Pegasus Motor Club Sprint

Saturday 18th OctoberThis super event is aimed at club competitors and attracts many popular one make championships including Minis, TVRs, MGs and Triumphs. There will also be classes for competitions cars of all makes as well as road cars (as in the ones parked next to you in the supermarket!)General admission and paddock entrance are free so feel free to wonder among the cars and competitors and find out what sprinting is all about! If you're keen to take more of an active part in the day you can also marshall at the event - no experience necessary: you'll get a full briefing on the day and be paired up with those more experienced

Stroke Association Super Car Saturday, Saturday 25th OctoberAn adrenaline-fuelled day where motorsport fans are at the centre of the action with passenger rides on the circuit, driving tests in the paddock and a display of interesting vehicles!Experience the thrill of being driven around the circuit by top celebrity drivers in a range of exceptional cars.
