INcompetition Racing Brands Final report‏

Irishman David Allingham wanted to finish his British Supersport Evo Championship season on a high at Brands Hatch this weekend on the INcompetition Racing Yamaha. David secured a strong result in the Evo class on Saturday finishing in ninth place and fifth place in the main race on Sunday.

David had a good qualifying session and started from 20th on the grid for the opening race, he got a great start but his bad luck struck again when he had to avoid a crashed rider in front of him on the opening lap. Doing well to avoid him and continue he soon realised his timing clock had fallen down the side of his bike which wedged in and stopped him turning the bike properly, he rode a good race considering finishing ninth Evo rider.

David had to start from a long way back on the grid for race two where he started in 27th place on the grid. He got a fantastic start and made huge progress through the field, after the first lap he was 11th Evo rider and steadily worked his way through to a very respectable fifth place in the Evo Supersport Class.

David Allingham - "It was a bit of an average weekend, I'm not happy with qualifying and practice as it just seemed I wasn't able to get up to speed fast enough. I was a bit unlucky in race one, after being put on the grass first lap, and then not being able to turn left.

Race two was a bit better but I'm still not overly happy with my results, I needed a better qualifying result, which would have helped. It has been an up and down season with a few great results and also a lot of bad ones, but I'll be back faster and stronger for next year.

A big thanks must go to the boys Ruairi and Adrain, they put so much effort in all year and am a bit sad I didn't repay them with a better result also I would like to thank all my sponsors and everyone whose help I couldn't have done without.

Thank you to my dad and Gail for even giving me a chance to ride bikes, I'm very grateful, also everyone that supports me aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and family, my Mum and also girlfriend and anyone else I've forgotten. Let's hope 2015 brings us some luck #95."
