KENT have moved for locally-based Danno Verge as they close in on their full line-up for the 2015 National League season.Verge rode for Scunthorpe this year but also appeared in several Individual meetings at Central Park including the British Under-19 Championship where he finished seventh.Manager Chris Hunt said: “There is currently a big rush to sign lower-end riders of the three point variety and in that category, Danno is something of a gem. He showed by recording a win and two seconds in his first four rides in the U-19s that he has moved ahead of a number of his peers – riders who are now going to be appearing in some of our league opponents’ line-ups. “Danno’s enthusiasm to be part of his local team must have a beneficial effect and I am confident that he will prove to be a very wise addition to our seven for the 2015 campaign.”

BUXTON have rewarded Paul Bowen for encouraging displays during late-season appearances in 2014 with a full team place for next year.Bowen has only been racing speedway since February but made an instant impact when he rode for the Hitmen, and expects to improve still further thanks to the experience. He said: “Ever since Ryan (Blacklock) introduced me to Jayne (Moss) last year it’s been a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to do my first full season with Buxton. Everyone tells me Hi-Edge is a hard track to ride but I really like it. “The crowd have been superb as well and even though it may not be one of bigger clubs I would certainly say it’s the friendliest, quality over quantity for me for sure. Next year I will be a lot stronger as I only rode a speedway bike for the first time in February and it’s been a massive learning curve.”
