Thruxton has announced that its annual pre-season test will take place on 18-19 February, 2015 – and bookings are now open.Although the dust has barely settled upon the festive period, the world of motor sport is already speeding flat-out towards the forthcoming campaign, which at Thruxton will begin with the retro-flavoured HSCC Easter Revival meeting on 4-5 April.The high-octane action continues with the hugely popular Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) on 9-10 May, thunderous BTRA British Truck Racing Championship on 13-14 June, NGMCRC Motorcycle Races on 25-26 July, spectacular MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship on 31 July – 2 August and BARC Finals on 3-4 October.As the age-old adage goes, if you fail to prepare, then you are preparing to fail, and Thruxton’s pre-season test is the ideal opportunity to blow away the winter cobwebs and rev the new season into life.The afternoon of 18 February includes two 25-minute exclusive Ginetta Junior sessions, two 25-minute open-wheel sessions and two 55-minute closed-wheel sessions, while 19 February is open to all, with alternating 55-minute sessions for both closed and open-wheel cars.
