F4 racer Louis Foster named BRDC Rising Star

British Formula 4 racer Louis Foster has been selected to become a part of the British Racing Drivers Club’s Rising Star programme.

Founded in 1928, the BRDC is one of the most prestigious and exclusive motor racing clubs in the world. Membership to the BRDC is extremely sought after and difficult to achieve. Nonetheless, after being successfully selected after his interview process, Louis is now amongst the elite talent that forms this exclusive club.

The BRDC Rising Stars programme very much reflects the future of British motorsport, with the young racing prodigies being able to stay with the club until they turn 24.

Louis recently attended a meeting at Silverstone, where he was interviewed about his achievements and plans for the future. So far in 2019, Louis has shone in the F4 series, scoring numerous victories and podiums in his debut campaign in single-seaters, where he currently lies third in the championship standings.

At only 16-years-old, Louis has three rounds of competition in the 2019 British Formula 4 season remaining, where he will now sport the BRDC’s blue roundel on his racing overalls.

“I am absolutely over the moon to have been selected as a BRDC Rising Star,” Louis said. “It is an honour to be recognised by such a prestigious club that has such deep roots in British motorsport. I must thank everyone who has helped me to get to this point - it is certainly a very proud day for myself, family and sponsors.”

Barry Mears, MB Partners’ Motorsport Manager, added: “Louis is an exceptional young talent and we at MB Partners are so proud to see him achieve this status. It is an incredible achievement and Louis has been working extremely hard, both in and out of the car. I am delighted for him and we are all looking forward to seeing what Louis can achieve in the future.”
