Double for Daniil Kvyat in Mugello Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS

Pole and two wins for Daniil Kvyat in the sixth and penultimate Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS round. In Mugello goal achieved for the Russian Koiranen Motorsport Team driver, that is now the new leader of the overall standing just ahead of the French Norman Nato of RC Formula capable of being twice second.

Two identical podiums this weekend with the other French Paul-Loup Chatin (Tech1 Racing) once more third as in Race 1. The gap between Nato and Kvyat is now 13 points with Chatin 44 points behind the new leader and thus still with some 2012 win chances in the last Barcelona round.Under the spolights also the two Prema team drivers at its return in the Championship. Twice sixth the Italian Luca Ghiotto, while the Brazilian Bruno Bonifacio (who made a mistake in the Saturday race) confirmed as one of the fastest rookies achieving fourth ahead of the Finn Patrick Kujala.In Race 2 Kvyat chose the inner line and kept his first place at the first bend. Behind him Nato e Chatin, while Bonifacio slipped fourth chased by his team mate Ghiotto. At lap three Kujala slips by Ghiotto while Aurelin Panis and Victor Franzoni (seventh and eighth at the finish) duel behind. Simone Iaquinta was eight. The Team Torino Italian driver finished tenth thus behind once more in the top ten after being fourth in Race 1.

I managed to achieve what I was looking for. - commented Kvyat, that was at his very first time in Mugello - It was a perfect weekend. Now all will be decided in the last two races.The next and final venue is scheduled in just two weeks time (20th and 21st October) on the Spanish Montmelo track where further novelties are awaited.
