Desalle aims to be fit for Italian MXGP

Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MXGP’s Clement Desalle will ‘test’ his injured right shoulder next week and may even be in contention for an appearance at the Grand Prix of Italy after being advised that surgery is avoidable on the joint that he briefly dislocated in France last weekend.

The Belgian went for six scans and checks after being forced out of round eight of 18 after only being able to notch one lap of the first moto. The shoulder has suffered some damage common with this type of injury but Desalle has been advised that through applying rest and light exercise there is no need to consider an operation at this point.

Desalle plans to follow Doctors orders and if his body feels strong enough and he is confident in the shoulder then he will try to ride his RM-Z450 next week. After this Desalle and the team will assess whether or not he can travel and compete at Maggiora for round nine on June 13-14th.
