On the occasion of the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet held at the Paul Ricard circuit, organiser of the event, Patrick Peter, announced the celebration of the birth of the BPR during the fourth edition of the Dix Mille Tours to be held on 4, 5 and 6 October 2013.

In August 1993, twenty years ago, Stphane Ratel and Patrick Peter organised a GT race, based on the Trophe Venturi before creating a Series, the BPR, in March 1994 with Jrgen Barth.  A new grid which will mark the development of the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet following the arrival of the FIA Historic Formula One and the Nineties' Red this year. The two new disciplines made up of exceptional models delighted the spectators.The BPR will gather cars which participated in the Series from the end of August 1993 to the end of 1996. McLaren F1 GTR, Venturi 600LM, Porsche 911 Turbo S LM, Ferrari F40 LM will once again be able to express themselves on the track.Most of the cars, which have not had the opportunity to race often since the BPR, are no longer within the norms. They will participate in a Regularity Race like the Nineties' Red: two free practice sessions and two thirty minute races.An appointment is made for 4, 5 and 6 October 2013 to rediscover these legendary racing cars. Jrgen Barth and Stphane Ratel have already confirmed their presence at the event.
