Brescia, 6 October 2026 – Entries open today, Tuesday 6 October 2026, for the 1000 Miglia 2027, which, 100 years on from the first historic race in 1927, is set to be a highly anticipated event. An event not to be missed for collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world, the Centenary race will see the Red Arrow cars retrace the roads of Italy from Monday 24 to Saturday 29 May 2027.
Entries for the 1000 Miglia 2027
Entry applications must be submitted via the event’s official website (www.1000miglia.it) no later than 4:00 pm (CET) on Tuesday 22 December 2026.
Confirmations of acceptance will be sent by 15 March 2027, and the list of accepted cars will be published.
To apply for entry, cars must hold a certificate from the Registro 1000 Miglia or have initiated the application process at the same time as submitting their entry (final acceptance remains, in any case, subject to the actual issue of the certificate).
The 1000 Miglia Centenary
Inspired by the feat conceived a century ago by the “Four Musketeers” – Aymo Maggi, Franco Mazzotti, Renzo Castagneto and Giovanni Canestrini – the Centenary route will follow the original 1927 route, adapting it to today’s requirements. In keeping with this heritage, the race will once again run anti-clockwise. To further enrich the event’s format, there will be the introduction of a looped route, a feature not seen since 2024.
The race will span six days of competition. The official start will take place in Brescia at 6.00 pm on Monday 24 May, heading towards Parma, the first leg destination. The following day, the convoy will pass through Modena for a lunch stop, tackle the Raticosa and Futa mountain passes, and reach the day’s finish line in Florence. On Wednesday 26 May, after lunch in Siena with the cars lined up in Piazza del Campo, the crews will head down towards Rome for the customary halfway point.
The first part of the return journey on Thursday 27 May will include a lunch stop in Perugia and then continue along the Adriatic route, with a race dinner in the village of Gradara before the evening arrival in Cervia. On Friday 28 May, the fifth day will link Romagna to Verona, stopping for lunch at Prato della Valle in Padua and passing through the hills of Valdobbiadene, Bassano del Grappa and Vicenza.
The sixth leg on Saturday 29 May will pay tribute to the Brescia area: the convoy will skirt Lake Garda, before crossing the Val Sabbia and Lumezzane – a municipality which, in 2027, will mark the 100th anniversary of its foundation alongside the Red Arrow – where the lunch stop will take place. The final stretch of the race will then take the crews past Lake Iseo and into the Franciacorta region before returning to Brescia. Here, on a festive Saturday afternoon, the historic centre will take centre stage with the Passage Control in Piazza Vittoria, the final Time Control on Viale Venezia and the winners’ celebrations.
