Sell out for Breakfast at JD Classics

Free tickets for Breakfast at JD Classics sold out in record-setting time for the open morning at its Maldon premises on Sunday 18 November with guest speaker, motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss OBE.The popularity of Sir Stirling Moss OBE attending Breakfast at JD Classics has turned this fixture into an invitation-only event. The doors opened at 8.30am and visitors were keen to get the best seat in the house in advance of the official 10.30am guest speaker start time. JD Classics also served teas, coffees and light refreshments. Renowned journalist and commentator Simon Taylor commanded the stage for a Q&A session, his encyclopaedic knowledge offering a unique insight into Sir Stirling Mosss racing career. This prompted riveting and often comical accounts from Sir Stirling Moss and his early Cooper 500 days right up to his near fatal accident at Goodwood in 1962.JD Classics also displayed a diverse mix of two and four-wheeled vehicles within its renowned in-house facilities. This offered visitors a rare opportunity to get up close to JD Classics unique projects, the Jaguar Heritage Racing works vehicles, Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs, historic Ferraris and a full spectrum of Jaguars, to name but a few.Another special guest was Mission Motorsport, a charity of which Sir Stirling Moss is patron. Run by veterans, serving officers and motorsport professionals, its mission is to aid the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through motorsport.The Sir Stirling Moss event was this years final one.
