The biggest ever Race Retro sale takes place this Saturday and Sunday at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Over 100 fantastic entries will be offered in the two day auction at one of Europe’s premier historic motorsport shows.

 James Hunt 1978 Season Bell Race Helmet

This bell race helmet was used by the late great Hunt in his penultimate season in 1978 during his time with McLaren.

Presented in black with three coloured stripes, the drivers name and Marlboro, Texaco and Goodyear advertising logos, the helmet is in excellent condition and is offered for sale for the first time in over 20 years.

1960 Austin Mini Se7en MkI

This lovely and rare 1960 MkI Mini Seven is offered for sale having covered approximately just 15 miles (to the MoT Station and back) since benefitting from a full restoration completed this year.

The car is presented with a superb history file, including photographs of the restoration and over £7,000 of invoices. So fresh is the restoration that this Mini will have its maiden voyage in 20 years en-route to the auction.

Even within the last year, Mk I Mini prices have continued to climb at a significant rate with early examples like ‘211 ETT' becoming much harder to find.

F1 Champions Edition #100/100 Opus Book with British Grand Prix Paddock Passes

This is a unique opportunity to acquire the very last copy of the finest motorsport book ever made. The Champions Edition is individually numbered and presented in a carbon fibre clamshell box, personally signed by Bernie Ecclestone and by all the living world championship winning drivers, plus the late great Phil Hill who passed away shortly after signing the book.

As if all of this was not enough the successful winner of this lot will also receive paddock passes and grandstand tickets for Saturday and Sunday of the 2014 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and a meet and greet tea with Bernie Ecclestone!

1970 Triumph Spitfire MK III

By far the nicest example of the marque we have ever seen, this gorgeous UK supplied right hand drive Spitfire has covered very few miles since benefitting from an amazing two year restoration.

The bills for parts in the file amount to close to £18,000 and it only takes one glance to see the standard of the work.

Complete with factory fitted overdrive gearbox, a factory hard top, Minilite look wheels and a wooden period steering wheel, the car is on the button and ready to be enjoyed.

1984 Ex Colin McRae Nissan 240RS WRC Group B Rally Car

Offered here is a Group B 240RS that was owned and driven by Colin McRae in 1987, winning the Tweedies Daihatsu Rally in Dumfries in July 1987 with his wife Alison navigating.

The 240RS was purchased by our vendor in 2000, appearing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed McRae Tribute in 2008 in unrestored condition. Since then it has seen a lengthy restoration by Sweep Motorsport returning it to full Group B period specification and rally prepared by Protec for unveiling at Goodwood in 2012.

This Nissan 240RS is eligible for FIA and UK Championships and on the button having been prepared by renowned Nissan experts.
