Meanwhile, here are just a few of the latest confirmed entries into theMay Sale.

1971 Ferrari 246 GT DinoThis stunning Dino is the very car that stole the limelight at the 1971 Earls Court Motor Show.

With just three documented keepers from new, this 246 GT has been used sparingly over the years, covering only 51,542 miles. Believed to be the only right-hand drive example ordered new in white with blue interior, it is supplied with a large history file, including details and photographs of its meticulous restoration in 2009 and its recent engine rebuild carried out by marque specialist Gary Tait.

This is a rare opportunity to go back to the 1971 motor show and drive the star exhibit home.

Estimate (£): 180,000 - 220,000

1964 Morris Mini Cooper S FIA Historic Race Car

This car is one of the most competitive FIA Historic Minis available in Europe.

Originally built in 2009 by Pyro Motorsports for Andy Hack and Darren Turner, this genuine Cooper S was discovered in South Africa and became the basis for this ultra-competitive racer.

After finishing second in its race debut at the 2009 Goodwood Revival, it has become one of the most well-known, best prepared and quickest Historic race Minis to date.

To build this car today would probably require an investment in the region of £70,000 and would not guarantee the competitive edge or profile that this Historic Cooper S already enjoys.

Estimate (£): 45,000 - 55,000

1970 Ford Capri 3000 GT Mk.I Manual

Presented in superb original condition, this amazing ‘top-of-the-range’ 3000 GT XLR Capri has covered just 19,500 miles.

Bought as a retirement present by the first owner, it was cherished and covered approximately 13,500 miles before his untimely death in the early ‘80s. Unable to part with the car, his family stored it carefully for the next 20 years before it was acquired by the second owner who used it purely at weekends.

This is an unrepeatable opportunity to obtain the car you always promised yourself!

Estimate (£): 15,000 - 18,000

1959 Austin Healey 3000 MkI

Manufactured in May 1959, this superb matching numbers example spent much of its life in New Zealand until it was repatriated to the UK in 2004.

In the early ‘90s, the car was subject to a nut and bolt restoration that was completed in 1995. The chassis and body were completely stripped and rebuilt but much of the original car was kept and refurbished to maintain its originality.

The car looks splendid finished in Colorado red over old English white, complemented by a red leather interior and a wood rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel. Included in the extensive history file are photographs of the restoration, correspondence between the owner and restorers, invoices, old tax discs and old MOT certificates.

This elegant Healey 3000 sounds wonderful and is just waiting to be enjoyed on an open winding road.
