#69 Pickup Truck goes to school

The #69 Pickup Truck of Lee Rogers was recently (Wednesday 25th May 2005) on display at Lee’s son’s primary school in Exeter.

Ayrton, who attends Cowick Street First School in Exeter, held their annual hobbies day where the pupils can bring in their hobbies to show their friends. Ayrton, who is very much involved with the team, asked his teacher if he could bring in his dads racing pickup truck! The teacher thought that this was a great idea but permission had to be obtained from the head-mistress.

The next day, Lee had to wait outside the head-mistresses office (something that he hasn’t had to do for over 15 years!) to discuss the idea. The head-mistress was delighted with the suggestion and was very excited to be having the truck on display.

The pupils, teachers and parents were all very interested in the truck and were thrilled by the action being provided via a DVD display in the main hall showing the pickups thrilling the crowd at Rockingham with many promising their support at one of the future meetings.

The next outing for the Pickup Trucks will be at the next THUNDER SUNDAY event at Rockingham Motor Speedway on the 5th June 2005.
