Yamaha celebreates 70th anniversary with Yamaha Spirit of Challenge


For its 70th anniversary, Yamaha has chosen the Autodromo Riccardo Paletti in Varano de' Melegari as the stage for a special event to celebrate the world linked to the Japanese company. It is the Yamaha Spirit of Challenge – an event that will be held tomorrow 21 June starting at 9:00, in what promises to be a day of passion and emotion.

A real journey through the history of the three tuning fork brand, which will touch on each of the values ​​that distinguish Yamaha throughout the world: innovation, enthusiasm, trust, emotions and bonds. Each theme will have its own dedicated area at the Parma track, located in the heart of the Motor Valley, to allow all enthusiasts to learn about all the facets of the brand. From the section dedicated to its history to the one regarding the world of racing, passing through the game zone and the area reserved for the Yamaha Community of Official Clubs. 

Those present will have the opportunity to participate in moments of dialogue with some of the most important names in the world of two wheels; among them Giacomo Agostini, a true legend of the MotoGP, together with Stefan Everts and Franco Picco. 

There will also be the opportunity to visit the Hospitality Truck of two top-level championships such as WorldSBK and MXGP, meeting the current Yamaha riders up close, including Andrea Locatelli, Stefano Manzi, Dominique Aegerter and Alessandro Botturi. The entire program of the day will be accompanied by the presence of Ringo and Alteria of Virgin Radio, who will take care of entertaining the public with their music with various activities.

Not just fun off the track: the great Yamaha party will in fact use the Autodromo Riccardo Paletti in Varano de' Melegari to bring some of the most iconic models of its line to the circuit, in a splendid parade scheduled for 13:00. Afterwards, the Sprint Race of the Mugello Grand Prix will be screened, giving everyone present the opportunity to follow part of the Italian MotoGP weekend in company. Furthermore, throughout the day it will be possible to choose between nine different driving experiences, to experience the emotions linked to Yamaha first-hand.
 

From the track to sports scooters, through off-road and road bikes: a selection ready to satisfy every desire of enthusiasts. There will also be additional activities during the day, including the Junior Motor School for the youngest, an entire space dedicated to the female gender branded Girl Full Power, and a review of electric vehicles to demonstrate the role played by electric mobility.


Finally, Yamaha has announced two further innovations on the occasion ofits 70th anniversary. On the one hand, a competition dedicated to all those present, who after registering in the dedicated area, will have the chance to win a Yamaha XSR900 GP – a model inspired by the racing bikes of the '80s and '90s and among the most iconic of the Japanese brand. On the other hand, the possibility of reliving the history of the brand through an unreleased official album of Panini stickers, which follows the theme of "Kando", a Japanese term that indicates a feeling of enthusiasm and satisfaction caused by an exceptional product in terms of quality and performance. An event therefore designed for all types of enthusiasts, ready to arrive in large numbers at the Autodromo Riccardo Paletti in Varano de' Melegari to celebrate the important milestone of one of the most important global brands in the world of two wheels.
