Bonhams|Cars Launches The Spring Season of Sales @ Goodwood

Goodwood Members' Meeting
19 Apr 2026
Chichester, Goodwood

The Spring Season of Sales kick off at the Goodwood Members' Meeting Sale near Chichester, UK on 19 April. Bonhams|Cars partnership with Goodwood spans more than 30 years with the auction room becoming a recognised visitor destination adjacent to the main spectator areas and offering easy access for viewing and bidding.

Goodwood Members' Meeting offers an unparalleled weekend of historic motorsport with some of the world's most famous and cherished cars racing door handle-to-door handle, from Touring Cars, to GTs, to Formula 3 and Formula 1 display laps. Over the 30-year partnership, world-class historic cars as diverse as a 1931 Bentley 8-Litre Le Mans-Style Tourer (£563,500 in 2023), to a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Coupé Coachwork by Carrozzeria Pininfarina (£402,500 in 2025), to a 50-mile 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 'Crown Edition' Coupé (£425,500 in 2024), have found new owners at the Bonhams|Cars Goodwood Members' Meeting Sale.

The Goodwood Members' Meeting Sale is closely followed on 24 April by the Bonhams|Cars Monaco Sale at the 15th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. Always a highlight of the auction calendar, the Bonhams|Cars Monaco Sale will take place at The Fairmont Hotel, overlooking the famous Loews Hairpin and the Principality beyond.

Given the historic motorsport focus of the race weekend, the Bonhams|Cars Monaco Sale will feature a significant collection of 1990s DTM cars from a single owner. Headlining the collection is the ex-Alessandro Nannini 1995 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI DTM (estimate €500,000 to 600,000).

The collection also includes the ex-Klaus Ludwig 1990 Mercedes Benz AMG 190E 2.5-16 DTM (estimate €375,000 to €550,000), the ex-Steve Soper 1992 M3 E30 DTM (estimate €325,000 to €425,000) and the 1989 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 DTM, driven by Armin Hahne. Harking back to the golden era of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, each car represents the pinnacle moment of factory-backed touring car development with limited production homologation roots and documented race history.

The Spring Season of Sales continues at The International Classic MotorCycle Show at Stafford, UK on 25-26 April where Bonhams|Cars Motorcycle Department will offer over 100 motorcycles. The sale will include arguably the most historically significant motorcycle of all time - Barry Sheene's 1977 World Championship-winning Suzuki RG500 XR14, offered with a no reserve estimate of £160,000 to £200,000.

The auction marks the 50th anniversary of Barry Sheene's first 500cc World Championship in 1976 and will also offer other machines of note from the same single owner collection, as well as The Rex Judd Collection. Barry Sheene's Suzuki RG500 XR14 will also be on display at the Goodwood Members' Meeting Sale and play a role in Goodwood's 50th anniversary celebrations of his first World Championship win.

3 May sees The Miami Auction at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix at the Miami International Autodrome. Unlike previous years, the sale will now take place at 11:00 EDT on the Sunday race day, positioning The Miami Auction at the peak of the Grand Prix weekend's global attention and the main attraction supporting the Formula 1 race.

The Miami Auction position has also changed for 2026, now located inside the Hard Rock Stadium, directly above the Paddock Club. This places it near the luxury suites, the 72 Club, and exclusive hospitality areas, improving access for buyers and vendors alike.

Previous Bonhams|Cars sales at the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix have seen vehicles sold including a 1990 Porsche 911 Classic Turbo Reimagined by Singer ($1,680,000 in 2025) and a 2011 Ferrari SP30 Berlinetta ($2,296,000 in 2024).
