Clutton switches to Porsche Open

Teenager Marcus Clutton will switch to the Michelin Porsche Open Series for the balance of the 2005 racing season having started the year in Michelin Porsche Club Championship. The 16-year old was a class two pacesetter from the start of the year in the Club Championship, but has been forced to change plans after an accident at Oulton Park damaged the shell on his 911SC. Instead, the Machtech Motorsport team has arranged to borrow the 3.2 Carrera most recently raced by Colin Broster for the rest of the Open season. The switch is designed to give Clutton the chance to gain more experience while plans for 2006 are developed. He will make his debut in the 3.2 Carrera in the next Open double-header at Rockingham on 3 July. Like the 911SC, the NameHog.net supported Carrera will be prepared by ABG Motorsport.
