The Scars Racing Ducati team enjoyed an outstanding week at the Isle of Man TT, claiming victory in both Supersport races with Michael Dunlop.
Race One, held on Tuesday, was run in slightly damp conditions, with riders understandably cautious on the opening lap as they assessed grip levels around the Mountain Course.
After the pit stop at the end of lap one, Michael delivered a remarkable performance. Putting his head down over the remaining two laps, he successfully closed down and passed Dean Harrison before taking an incredible victory by 24.470 seconds.
Conditions for Race Two were improved, although still not ideal. Once again, Michael settled into his rhythm on the opening lap before the team executed another exceptionally fast pit stop. He then pushed hard over laps two and three to secure a second Supersport victory of the week for Scars Racing Ducati, this time by an impressive 26.126 seconds.
The win also marked several significant milestones for Michael. The race was his 97th TT start and 77th finish, while his victory tally now stands at an extraordinary 35 wins — a remarkable 45% win rate. The result also extended his record to 10 consecutive Supersport TT victories.
Michael Dunlop:
“It’s been a great week on the Supersport bike.
The team have worked extremely hard to provide the perfect Ducati for the event.
It’s great to repay everyone for their efforts — the team, team sponsors and my personal sponsors. Coming to the TT and getting everything right is no easy task. There’s a huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, and I really appreciate the effort everyone puts in.
It’s great to get another win.”
Leigh Finlay – Scars Racing:
“It’s never easy to get everything ready for the TT. It’s such a demanding event, and an enormous amount of work goes into making sure everything is right.
We’re fortunate to be running the Ducati, and it has been faultless throughout practice, qualifying and, most importantly, the two Supersport races.
To win both races with Michael is a fantastic feeling. The team have worked incredibly hard throughout the week, and it’s great to see that effort rewarded.
I’d personally like to thank the entire team and all of the sponsors involved in making this year’s success possible for Scars Racing.”
