Race 1
Nathan Kinch and Andrew Kirkaldy secured victory after a trouble free race in their Ferrari 360 Modena, and were closely followed by their team-mates Tim Mullen and Chris Niarchos. The Embassy Porsche of Neil Cunningham and Ben Collins finished the race in third place, followed by Team Eurotech Porsche of Mike Jordan and Michael Caine.
After running under the first three in the opening laps of the race, the Eclipse Mosler MT900R of Phil Keen and Steve Hyde finished in fifth place with the Nissan RJN Motorsport of Michael Bentwood in sixth position. The Ferrari 360 of Allan Simonsen and Hector Lester (United Christian Broadcasters) won the race in the GT3 category.
They finished first just ahead of the Porsche of Trackspeed of David Ashburn and Fred Moss. Steven Wood and Mark Sumpter came third in the Eurotech Porsche. Race 2 Scuderia Ecosse stormed to yet another one-two finish at. Nathan Kinch and Andrew Kirkaldy finished in first place in the Ferrari 360 Modena just ahead of the sister car of Tim Mullen and Chris Niarchos.
Mike Jordan and Michael Caine came third in the Team Eurotech Porsche 911 GT3-RSR. Chris Beighton and Jon Finnemore in the Team Tiger Marcos Mantis snapped victory in the last lap of the race from United Christian Broadcaster with Allan Simonsen and Hector Lester behind the wheel. GT3 class leader Tech 9’s Piers Masarati and Dimitris Deverikos finished the race in third position.
Michael Butler, Dunlop Motorsport: “It was fast and bumpy and again the Ferraris dominated. We pride ourselves on our consistency and most cars were putting in their fastest laps towards the end of the race which shows how good the performance is through a long distance race.”
