Behind every motorcycle, scooter and piece of automobilia was a story, and for 290 of the lots offered at the National Motorcycle Museum, that story began a new chapter.
Collectors and enthusiasts came together to bid, celebrate the machines they love and become their next custodians. By the end of the day, the auction had achieved more than £1.6 million in sales, with a 90% sell-through rate.
More than the numbers, it was about seeing remarkable pieces of motoring history find new homes and new people to continue their stories.
