Beechdean Mini flies at Brands

Beechdean Motorsport returned to Brands Hatch on Saturday and Sunday for rounds 4 & 5 of the Britcar Endurance Championship. After their recent win at Snetterton the team were optimistic of another good result and relishing the challenge of taking on some of the UK's most exotic GT cars with their BMW M3 powered Supermini driven by Aaron Scott and Nigel Greensall.

Greensall wasted no time in securing class pole and 10th overall for the first race taking place on Saturday morning. Unfortunately it wasn't to be for Beechdean Motorsport in race one as the car was forced into retirement with an electrical problem. This meant starting from 20th on the grid for race two on Sunday afternoon.

Scott started the race and drove a superb opening lap to move into 8th position overall and also move the Beechdean car into the class lead. The team then took advantage of an early safety car period to pit and Greensall took the wheel. After a great stint by Nigel, matching the times of the more powerful cars, the team climbed to 5th overall at the chequered flag and, more importantly, another  Class 3 win.

After the race team manger Andrew Howard said, " This is another fantastic result for Beechdean Motorsport, the team have worked very hard this weekend and it was a pleasure to see the Mini compete and outclass some of the more expensive machinery today! We are all looking forward to the rest of the season, particularly the 24 hour race at Silverstone in September "

The next race for Beechdean Motorsport will be at Snetterton on July 16.
