RENAULT Sport UK will pull off a UK first this November when all three of its championships continue for a new winter festival at Brands Hatch in November.

Formula Renault UK Championship with Michelin, ELF Renault Clio Cup and Formula Renault BARC will run alongside each other in a Renault winter festival at Brands Hatch’s Indy circuit on Saturday/Sunday 5/6 November.

Formula Renault UK alone will then go on to race a further two rounds the following Saturday at Croft Circuit.

Championship Manager Simon North says the event will be unique as Renault is the only manufacturer running three championships in Britain at the moment.

“It will be a mini Renault festival,” he said. “We’ll bring the Renault Race Centre along for all the drivers to make sure they all experience our championship to the full. It will be well worth their while to take part. The winners could get their summer registration fees paid.”

Last year’s Formula Renault UK winner Stuart Hall (Halstead, Essex) said the £10,000 prize really helped him. “That sort of money is always a help,” said the 20-year-old. “But also it’s just a good warm up for the next year. All the usual faces are there and it gives you an idea of what the next year will be like.”

The Brands Hatch event will see the three Renault championships running alongside the British Truck Racing Association Series. All three Renault championships will run to the same format of one qualifying session with the fastest time setting the grid for the first race and the second fastest time sitting the grid for the second race.

The top three in the Clip Cup will get 100%, 50% and 25% of their summer registration fees paid respectively and the winner of Formula Renault UK will get a free 2006 registration. The prize for the BARC series is to be announced.
