from the front row. It wasn’t easy to cope with the pressureknowing that his direct competitors were Kovalainen,Pantano, Rosberg,… But the Racing Engineering driverdelivered a successful race and obtained his best results ofthe year so far.

And not only that. The fifth position in Sunday’s race means thatBorja is the best Spanish driver in the championship standings.Whereas Racing Engineering underlines its position as the bestSpanish team by opening the gap further to the other nationalteams.

Starting the race with brake problems as the discs werechanged after the Saturday’s race, Borja couldn’t keep up withthe others during the first laps of the race. Once thisdisadvantage was overcome, Borja, running in 5th position, wasable to easily keep the championship leader Kovalainen behindhim. Finishing the race in an excellent 5th position, it rounds upa successful weekend for the Racing Engineering driver. He islooking forward to prolonging this performance next weekend inHungary.

Neel Jani, who faced a black weekend, also suffered fromgearbox problems during the second race. During the race,Neel at least was not forced into abandoning. Although hepassed by the pits several times after he slightly damaged hisfront wing when going off the track due to his gearboxproblems. Being impossible to make it to the points, Neeldecided to use the rest of the race as a test session, trying outnew things on his car. Keeping in mind the next weekends. However, a positive aspect of the weekend, from Neel’s point ofview, are two fabulous race starts proving how good the Swissis as a driver and leaving hope for the next races.

After Sunday’s race, Borja Garcia said, “the car felt better thanyesterday, although until the middle of the race I had someproblems with the brakes as we changed the discs yesterday.During the first laps I couldn't really push as much as I wantedto, but I am generally happy with the car. I am also happy to bein the points again. It's really great that I scored in both races. Now I am looking forward to next weekend's event at theHungaroring”.

Neel Jani, after an unsatisfying weekend, announced, “I had areally great start - I think the best of the year. But then I ran out

of space on the track and to avoid crashing I had to back off theaccelerator. From the first laps of the race I felt a slight problemwith the gearbox again and found it difficult to get into gear. Thisforced me to miss the braking points on several occasions, although it wasn't as bad as yesterday. Since I had to go intothe pits due to an understeering problem, it made me loose timeand so we decided to try out several new things on the car”.

Alfonso de Orleáns-Borbón commented, “Borja did a great jobthis weekend and I am really happy he scored in both racesafter already convincing during the qualifying session. Thisweekend really went well for him and I would also like to takethe opportunity to thank the team for their hard work in makingthis possible. As for Neel, it is sadly the other way round.Starting from Friday's free practice until the Sunday race, hehas suffered from technical problems and it's a shame as we allknow what an excellent driver he is. However, for our part, wewill do whatever is possible to get him back into the points fornext weekend in Hungary. And who knows, maybe we canmanage to get both drivers there”.
