Clark ready for Carrera Cup - Snetterton
Jeremy Clark will make his Carrera Cup GB debut at Snetterton over the weekend of 6/7 August when he becomes the next driver to race in the Porsche Cars with Team Autosport entry. The three-time Formula Vee champion has been selected for the drive by the editorial team at Autosport magazine as a deserving driver from the club racing arena. The 44-year old insurance assessor lives in Attleborough, just two miles from the Snetterton circuit. "This is an incredible step for me; it's a big opportunity," says Clark. "It will be fantastic to race the Porsche on my home track!" Although he has been racing for over a decade, this will be the first time that Clark has competed at such a high level.He started racing in 1993, and has spent most of his career in Formula Vee single-seaters, winning the championship in 2000, 2001 and 2003 and finishing runner-up no less than seven times. He also contested the 24-hour 2CV race at Snetterton in 2004.Clark's first experience of the 911GT3 Cup car will be during pre-race testing at Snetterton on Friday afternoon.
