A1 Team Pakistan is proud to announce that it has selected Super Nova International Racing to run its entry in the new A1 Grand Prix series.
Super Nova team principal David Sears commented "Super Nova is proud to be helping run A1 Team Pakistan in this new Grand Prix series, we look forward to developing A1 Team Pakistan's drivers as truly international sportsmen representing their country in this prestigious motor racing series".
Super Nova is one of the world's most successful racing teams with a staggering history of wins. It has been responsible for developing world class stars such as Juan Pablo Montoya and Mark Webber.
A1 Team Pakistan is also proud to announce another driver, Adam Khan. Adam, aged 20, has competed in the Eurocup Renault V6 series, the British F3 championship and has been a Jordan Grand Prix driver for the last two years. Adam was spotted by Eddie Jordan as a potential champion of the future when he was just 17, and has been supported by the team ever since.
Operations director of A1 Team Pakistan, Asim Husain, commented on the appointment: "Adam holds all the qualities that we are looking for in a driver - natural speed, a strong racing pedigree, intelligence and integrity". He will be representing a country of 154 million people, and so we need to make sure we pick drivers who can deliver good results for the team.
Testing will commence on the 3rd and 4th of August and the first of 12 races takes place at Brands Hatch (Great Britain) on 24th and 25th September 2005
