Formula Woman Televised Nations Cup Challenge - Rockingham - 27/28th Aug 2005

Girl Racers from 4 continents to compete in first ever all women International challenge in UK

Rockingham Motor Speedway will be the venue where motor racing history will be made on 27th/28th August. For over 100 years men have dominated the world of motor racing. 16 women racing drivers from around the world are set to battle it out to be the first woman to win The Formula Woman Nations Cup.

Entries have been confirmed from Australia, South Africa and The United States to add to a strong British team representing England Scotland and Wales.  Sweden, Poland and Holland will also be represented.

An International press day will be held at Dunsfold Park (home of BBC's Top Gear) near Guildford in Surrey on Wednesday 24th August where the 16 girl racers will meet each other and drive their identical Caterham race cars for the first time in anger!

On Friday 26th August media are also invited to Rockingham where the girls will test on the Rockingham International circuit prior to qualifying on the Saturday. The two Nations Cup races will take place on the Sunday 28th Aug
