Scotty Adema "Slashes" Thru Traffic @ Citrus County Speedway!

The "Fort Myers Flash" Scotty Adema made it 8 wins in 2005 with another dominating peformance in the Tommy Rice owned Old Castle Precast # 67 J &J Special. Adema Blasted his way around the Citrus County Speedplant in fine form and without mistake. Car owner Tommy Rice, Chief Mechanic Jerry Adema and the Motor City Transport Team had the beautiful red and white sprinter up for the task but much to the sagrin of his competition.

The Main Event would see Mike "Hollywood" Schroeder # 6 draw the pole alongside "Tiny" Tim George # 1 with Shane Kriedler # 52 and Dakota Stevens # 79 directly behind in row 2. As the cars rocketed out of turn 4 Schroeder brought the field to the green and down into turn 1 with George right on his hip pocket. George tried in vain to get to the bottom but Kriedler & Stevens had other ideas..Shane took advantage of his position and made his way into 3rd passing George.

Meanwhile Scotty Adema was in a heated battle trying to move forward. The Track had become very slick so finesse would play an important role the Drivers would need all the forward bite they could muster on the Tricky 1/4 mile Citrus County Speedway. Shane Kriedler who was running 3rd pulled off the line and drifted to a halt in turn 2 with a burned up rear-end. This brought out the first caution. This was what Adema wanted and he spirited to the lead soon following.

Positions 3rd on back to 8th were being swapped in a all out frenzy as the cars of "Tiny" Tim George # 1, Dakota Stevens #79, Dave Oblinger # 63 and "D-Man" Dennis Misuraca # 3d were waged in a battle royale. Just behind that front group were Danny Jones # 99, Sean "Zippy" Namor and RC Roper # 92. Jones was making a good showing in only his 3rd pavement race ever. Namor and Roper were in a heated battle. This continued for most of the race as they fought hard for the middle positions back and forth. Misuraca and George waged a war of thier own for 20 laps.

Adema who was now on cruise control started to really stretch his lead. As the race progressed Adema # 67 showed his skills in lapped traffic as he maneuvered his machine nicely around the ¼ mile oval bobbing and weaving between cars. RC Roper "The Racin Cowboy" # 92 who started last thrilled the fans by passing on the outside and making a run at second at the very end on the last lap. Roper caught Mike Schroeder # 6 who had ran a terrific race all night long. The 2 drivers went into turn 3 side by side and came out glued together at the checkered.

It was a Photo finish that was very close indeed as it thrilled the fans who stood and cheered. The 2 veteran drivers bumped after the race and Roper's car spun. All was well as the 2 drivers laughed about it and shook hands afterward. At the finish it was Adema # 67, Schroeder # 6, Roper # 92, Stevens # 79,George # 1,Misuraca #3d, Namor # 10n, Jones # 99, Oblinger # 63, Smith # 9 rounding out the top ten.

However after the race USA Officials handed out penaltys to RC Roper and Dakota Stevens for not going directly to tech after the race was over. Roper was put back to 4th and Stevens back to 5th. Outside of Adema's dominance the racing was been very competitive as stated by most of the drivers and officials. The USA Officials have Posted a Bounty on Adema for the next race on any driver that wins with Adema in the race. The only catch is Adema has to start last but he too can collect a bonus if he wins from last. RC Roper has offerred to start next to him. Thats a place RC is familiar with (hehe).
