The two and half day A1GP testing session in the south of France was a great opportunity for Team Pakistan to work through different set up methods, fine tune & develop the new car, ready to commence the new A1GP season at Brands Hatch on good form! The entire team feels motivated with this weeks results, as Adam Khan showed confidence in the car, finishing a respectable 9th out of 19 on the final day of testing.
This meeting saw additional teams join the A1GP Series, including Germany, Indonesia and Russia. The top 10 fastest cars all within just one-second of each other – making this an exciting lead up to the first race next month.
Team Pakistan driver, Adam Khan gives his thoughts on the last few days…“The testing this week has gone ok. I struggled the first two days due to gearbox problems. However this morning we found a lot of improvements, which is really good. I believe if we’d have found these a day or two ago, we’d have been higher up than the 9th position we got today. Overall though I’m pretty pleased with how it’s gone and all credit to the team, who have been doing a brilliant job. I’m now preparing for Brands Hatch, by training and hopefully some more F3000 testing in Italy next week”.
David Sears, Super Nova’s Team Principal commented “After three days of extensive testing Adam Khan ended up 9th fastest in the final day, out of the 20 cars present here at Paul Ricard. However the team are confident Adam is capable of running in the top 10 in the first race at Brands Hatch. Adam did a excellent job at developing the new A1GP car, and covered a lot of mileage, which him in good stead for Brands Hatch”.
Luke Craft Team Pakistan’s General Manager quoted “ We are very happy with how the testing has gone this week. It has been a very good opportunity to work through different set ups, and pleased to see that the series is going to be competitive! It’s good to see that the new A1GP series is operating smoothly, and we are all looking forward to the first race at Brands Hatch next month”.
The first ever A1GP race is set to take place over the weekend of the 24th & 25th September.
