Jimmy Kite and the Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing team will run demonstration laps at California Speedway this Sunday, September 4th as part of the Sony HD 500 NEXTEL Cup event's pre-race ceremonies.
Pre-race coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on NBC. Kitewill run up to three laps in the Ethanol sponsored IndyCar following the NationalAnthem at Fontana's two-mile oval. The 29-year-old driver who competed in fourNASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events earlier this year will give NASCAR fansa preview of what they can expect when the IRL IndyCar Series makes itsappearance at the Speedway on October 16.

Jimmy Kite has made nine IndyCar starts for Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing this yearsince replacing the rookie Paul Dana, who was injured practicing for theIndianapolis 500. Kite has delivered seven consecutive finishes for the team witha best result of 10th at Kentucky. The Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing team will beback in action at Chicagoland Speedway in Joilet, IL on September 11th. Therace will be broadcast live on ABC at 1:30 Eastern Time.
