NIGEL MANSELL AND ALAIN PROST WISH MOTORS TV HAPPY BIRTHDAY
This month, no less then 120 racers will celebrate the fifth anniversary of Motors TV.
Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell head up the list but they are joined by a distinguished selection of motorsports other greats, such as Jacky Ickx, Sébastien Bourdais, Yvan Muller, Stéphane Peterhansel, JJ. Launched on 1st September 2000, Motors TV this week begins its second half-decade of existence; an anniversary that will be celebrated with a selection of programmes illustrating some of the outstanding moments in the channel’s history since its birth. From the 1st – 30th September, the 30 ‘best of’ programmes will be re-aired each day at 18:00 and 23:00.
The most spectacular races broadcast in the first five years of Motors TV cover an impressive history where action, overtaking and the greatest moments are re-lived, including: the 2001 Indianapolis 500, 2003 24-Hours of Le Mans, 1977 F1 Motors Legend, 2005 Enduro du Touquet, 2001 V8 Supercars in Adelaide and Bathurst, 2004 BTCC at Donington, 2002 DTM at the Norisring, 2003 Daytona 200 Miles, 2001 Trophée Andros at the Stade de France, 2002 Champ Car at Rockingham and the 2005 Motors TV Racing Team for the 24-Hours of the Nürburgring.
