MOTORS TV AT BATHURST!

It’s one of autumn’s star events – Bathurst 1000km – and with full live coverage of the race through the night from 8-9 October, you’ll not miss any of the action on Motors TV UK. As one of the most impressive tracks in the world, Mount Panorama will provide the backdrop to some of the best V8 racing going, setting the scene for one long party for die-hard fans.

The warm-up session will be broadcast early on and throughout the race a host of distinguished visitors will take turns in the commentary box to talk you through the action, including BTCC star Yvan Muller, who will be contesting the event alongside one of V8’s finest, Craig Lowndes.

An action-packed night full of excitement:  Bathurst 1000km, from 22:00, Saturday 8th October.

ALMS PETIT LE MANS

A week ahead of Bathurst you can watch Petit Le Mans; the second biggest event in the ALMS calendar next to the 12 Hours of Sebring.  Taking place on the Road Atlanta circuit, this prestigious race last 10 hours or 1000 miles, whichever comes first, and perfectly illustrates endurance racing as it should be.  The ninth and penultimate round of the ALMS guarantees more battles than we have becomes accustomed to, with Audi and Lola-Dyson, Courage and Lola, and the GT1 Corvettes all vying for the top spot in their respective classes.

BTCC: THE BIG FINALE

With just three races remaining to decide who becomes 2005 BTCC Champion, the tenth and final meeting of season takes viewers to Brands Hatch’s mythical Grand Prix circuit – a fitting venue for the finale of another spectacular season of racing.  Throughout the season the racing has become ever closer, highlighting the battle for independent Team Halfords Hondas and the Vauxhall works cars.  This weekend viewers will find out whether Vauxhall can make it five in a row or if we’ll see the first independent champion of the modern era take victory.  As always, there is a full schedule of support races featuring Porsches, SEAT Cupras, Formula BMW, Formula Renault UK and the Clio Cup.  The scene is set for a dream ending to the season.

TURKISH BATH FOR DTM STARS AHEAD OF FINALE

With a successful debut Formula 1 Grand Prix, Istanbul’s circuit passed its toughest test with flying colours.  The scene is now set for the arrival of the penultimate race of the DTM’s season.

As tradition dictates, the 2005 DTM field started at Hockenheim and so they will end there, three weeks after the Turkish event.  The tension is mounting and the battle between Gary Paffett and Mattias Ekström will last until the final lap of what has been a sensational season.

START OF THE ‘SEASON REVIEWS’

With time flying by, seasons are steadily coming to a close on the tracks featuring the world’s best motorsport championships.  For Motors TV UK, that marks the beginning of another season: the season reviews.

First off the grid are the Americans with AMA Superbike featuring three hours of highlights of the season, reliving the exploits of Mat Mladin, Neil Hodgson and Ben Spies.

AMA Superbike Season Review: Saturday 15th October, 21:00-midnight.

The BTCC and its support races may still be fresh in your mind, but they are next to pick up the review baton.  From Donington to Brands Hatch, a chance to take another look at the best of the memorable battles between Matt Neal, Yvan Muller, Dan Eaves and Jason Plato, as the BTCC’s talented field of drivers takes to its last lap of the 30th and final race of the season.

BTCC:  Relive all the action, in two parts: Saturday 29th October, 20:00-midnight.

The same weekend you can catch reviews of the Formula BMW and Formula Renault UK seasons.

Sunday 30th October, 20:00-22:00 and 22:00-midnight.

MADE IN FRANCE

There is added excitement for this particular edition of Made in France, with a summary of the final Super Série meeting from Magny Cours.  The champions will be crowned in the French GT Championship, the Super Touring series and of course in the Peugeot 206 RCC and the RC Cup.  What’s more, like last year, Motors TV UK will be represented on the track with the winners of its GS Club/First Racing competition.
