Fans Invited To Join Drivers In Istanbul

Chevrolet is to host a live internet press conference at the next rounds of the 2005 World Touring Car Championship in Istanbul, Turkey on September 16th, 17th and 18th. All three Chevrolet WTCC drivers, Alain Menu, Nicola Larini and Rob Huff will answer questions from the worldwide media, as well as from racing fans.

On each day of the three days, media can log into the web conference via http://webconference.chevroleteurope.com. Fans log into the conference via http://www.chevroleteurope.com/wtcc/.  Access is free and doesn’t require a password.

The internet press conferences will take place on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th at 5.30pm CET (6.30pm Istanbul time). Questions for the drivers can be sent via the email link at the bottom of the web page, while live footage of the press conference can be seen at the top of the screen.

“What we are offering is interactive and high-tech behind the scenes, but just as user-friendly as watching television for those in front of the computer screen,” said Vincent Parissis, CEO of ArteCom Production, the company responsible for the technical part of the web conference.

Fans who want to join the live web conference, but do not have a high speed access needed to receive the live footage can still join via an “audio only” link and listen in.
